Multiple Glass/Cladding Replacement Service
GR3 Commercial offer a multiple high level glass and cladding panel replacement service, we are able to completely replace glass roofs, rooflights, atria, curtain walling, glazing caps and cladding panels whilst still utilising the existing framework, bar work, flashings and fixings. This service means that we can often complete the works on a rolling program basis, removing a panel and immediately replacing with new, thus minimising the cost and disruption to the client and maintaining the weather tightness of the building below at all times, these works can also be completed outside of office hours to assist with tenanted buildings.We are able to match any specification/tint of glass panels, units and any shade - RAL number when using polyester powder paint coverings for cladding panels, weather flashings, rainwater goods and glazing caps.
Our difficult access rope/abseil technicians can often complete the above works without the need for costly, unsightly scaffolding, cranes and mechanical lifts, this is a saving that we are able to pass directly on to our clients.Typically we are called in to refurbish old, tired and dated buildings. We simply remove the existing cladding/facia panels and replace with new, remove the window glass panels and replace with modern safety panels and fit new parapet flashings if required. We would then overhaul any associated overhead rooflights and glazing by removing the glass panels/units, replacing the internal weather seals whilst retaining the original bar-work, replace the glazing with new safety glass panels/units, clean up or replace the external aluminium caps and re-fit or replace with new the associated weather flashings.
Our Site Technicians are trained to CITB (Construction Industry Training Board) standards, IRATA (Industrial Rope Access Trade Association) standards, IPAF (Industrial Powered Access Federation) standards and PASMA (Prefabricated Access Suppliers' and Manufacturers' Association) standards. Our Health & Safety Managers, Operations Managers, Project Managers and Site Technicians are also trained to SMSTS (Site Management Safety Training Scheme) standards.
