At GR3 our maintenance division provides a comprehensive repair and maintenance service for all types of architectural glazing, to include: glass roofs and rooflights, atria, curtain walling, glazed screens, windows and doors. In association with glass roofs and windows we also maintain aluminium and lead parapet, kerb and roof weather flashings and high level rainwater goods to include guttering and down pipes. Other services include specialist cleans to glazing, framework and cladding panels, leak detection and rectification works to any defective areas of glazing or cladding, removal/replacement of external silicone, rubber and gasket weather seals and upgrading of the thermal and drainage performance of roof glazing systems. In addition we offer a high level glass and cladding replacement system, typically we attend site and make safe the existing defective glass panel/unit and temporary board up if required. We will then source and match the existing glass panel/unit exactly, provide for approval detailed method statements and risk assessments to cover the works, appoint a Project Manager and specialist rope/abseil, difficult access team and complete the works. Upon completion we will clean down the new panel/unit and associated work area and water test to ensure no weather seals have been disturbed, issue product and workmanship guarantees and hand over to client. Our service teams are fully trained to work in conjunction with heavy lifting gear such as lorry-mounted hoists and cranes and our Project Managers will arrange all necessary permits and road closures. GR3 now has the capability to remove scratches and abrasions from any glass panel, unit or mirror. With a combination of advanced polishing, hand held tools and chemicals we are now able to completely remove any scratches, abrasions or graffiti from the glass surface and return the panel/unit to its original condition. Although the works are not noisy, we are able to complete this operation on an out of hours basis to minimise disruption for our client.
We also have the capability, using advanced techniques, to apply the above services to plastic, polycarbonate or acrylic units/panels. GR3 are even able to restore UV damaged polycarbonate panels back to their original condition and appearance.
Our Site Technicians are trained to CITB (Construction Industry Training Board) standards, IRATA (Industrial Rope Access Trade Association) standards, IPAF (Industrial Powered Access Federation) standards and PASMA (Prefabricated Access Suppliers' and Manufacturers' Association) standards. Our Health & Safety Managers, Operations Managers, Project Managers and Site Technicians are also trained to SMSTS (Site Management Safety Training Scheme) standards. Our costing system offers an impressive, competitive rate and all our services are supported by detailed method statements, risk assessments and guarantees.
