Glazing Inspection and Report, Multiple High Level Glass Changes; incorporating the use of Large Plant and Road Closure.GR3 Commercial have carried out a number of high level changes of large and out-sized double glazed units. The glass used on this particular site is specialist with a reflective tint, which has to been imported from Germany. Replacements to the vertical curtain walling, calls for specially tailored method and safety program. Large plant, such as a 55 metre truck-mounted boom is necessary to enable the safe transfer and installation of glass in order to carry out the works.
Due to the location, extensive road closure and traffic management schemes are planned comprehensively in association with the Corporation of London.
GR3 Commercial also conduct like works to the overhead glazing central atrium. GR3 Commercial are currently commissioning multiple double glazed unit replacements to the entire atrium with the use of ropes, harnesses and qualified abseil technicians.
Again, all double glazed units are polysulphide bonded, so require specialist cutting equipment in order to successfully remove and to prepare for replacement of new. As an exceptionally hazardous undertaking, all works, as with many of our sites are completed out of hours with full ground marshalling in place.
